JOB DUTIES
Apply and Remove Casts, Splints, custom casts or splints, coordinate care and
intervene in response to patient's needs.
Assist with fitting and education of orthopedic bracing, ambulatory aids, and
other durable medical equipment.
Document care in patient's medical record.
Maintain inventory of casting supplies and equipment, check expiration dates of
supplies, stock and clean clinic and exam rooms as needed.
Provide education regarding casting-related activities to patients and their
families, residents, nurses, medical students and new staff.
Assist with other patient care activities as needed/directed by supervisor
and/or manager.
May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in
department documents.
High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring
department.
