Job Description

The University of Missouri School of Law invites applications for a part-time Office Support Assistant IV to perform a variety of administrative, legal assistance, and logistical duties within our Veterans Clinic.

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Providing administrative and legal assistant services and support for clinic instructors/supervising attorneys, veterans services specialist, clients, and students
  • Assisting with clinic paper and electronic filing system.
  • Assisting with clinic events, including an annual symposium, continuing legal education programs, and veteran outreach events
  • Assisting with data tracking, client database, and maintenance of mailing lists
  • Assisting with all incoming and outgoing communications with the clinic generally, including phone calls, emails, and daily logging activities
  • Preparing and filing clinic documents, maintaining a high level of confidentiality
  • Preparing and documenting new and closed client files
  • Other duties as assigned
Shift

Part-time, 15 - 25 hours per week. Flexible schedule as approved by the director of the clinic.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, self-motivated, interested in helping veterans and law school students, patient, kind, empathetic, and able to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing. A high level of organizational ability is required.

Successful candidates will provide outstanding customer service with a "can-do" attitude, along with the ability to successfully work efficiently and independently.

Anticipated Hiring Range

$14.51 - $18.50 per hour, based on skills, education, and experience
