The School of Pharmacy at UMKC is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Senior Enrollment Advisor to join our Student Affairs division. This role, based at the UMKC School of Pharmacy at MSU in Springfield, MO, is crucial for expanding our student recruitment efforts and strengthening our network of partnerships. As a Senior Enrollment Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in raising awareness of the UMKC School of Pharmacy and promoting pharmacy as a viable career path while also providing essential support to prospective and current pharmacy students on their academic journey.

A successful individual in this position will play a crucial role in advancing the School of Pharmacy's mission and achieving our strategic planning objectives. By engaging with both pre-college and current college students, as well as representatives from various organizations, the Senior Enrollment Advisor will expand outreach efforts through consistent and strategic interactions. These efforts will focus on nurturing the pre-pharmacy pipeline and facilitating the successful admission and graduation of students from the UMKC Doctor of Pharmacy program. Through targeted touch points and activities, the Senior Enrollment Advisor will contribute to filling the pipeline with qualified candidates who are prepared to excel in our program and contribute to the field of pharmacy.

Key Responsibilities:

* - Develop and maintain relationships with prospective students, pre-college & college students, teachers, counselors, and pipeline organizations through various communication channels.

* - Provide guidance and assistance to prospective students on the application process, pre-pharmacy course requirements, and career options, and evaluate transfer credit and academic readiness.

* - Advise prospective and current pharmacy students on policies, procedures, and effective academic strategies to ensure successful completion of their degree programs.

* - Research and identify opportunities for engagement and represent the School of Pharmacy at recruitment activities and events such as, but not limited to, career fairs, classroom visits, college preview days, and community events.

* - Collaborate with the Pharmacy Office of Student Affairs and experienced individuals to develop effective marketing strategies for the School of Pharmacy and the pharmacy profession.

* - Create engaging programming activities and presentations to enhance student engagement and interest in pharmacy.

* - Support the responsibilities and activities of the Office of Students Affairs events and initiatives and other job-related duties as assigned.

* - Maintain student records, create reports, and analyze the progress of efforts to feed new and continuing efforts.

- Partner on initiatives with the UMKC Admissions Office as well as admissions staff and academic programs at the other UMKC pharmacy sites.

- Possess the ability to learn and manage a variety of customer relations and interactive learning platforms.

- Work at a high level with Microsoft Office Programs, especially Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Shift

The typical shift is 9:00 am to 5:00 pm but will flex depending on events. For example, this position may be required to attend recruitment events during the weekend or after typical business hours. There will be an opportunity to establish a work-from-home schedule after the initial training period.

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least one year of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

* Experience in student recruitment, advising, or related field

* Strong interpersonal and public speaking communication skills

* Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and familiar with generational trends

* Excellent organizational, innovative, and multitasking abilities

* Knowledge of higher education policies and procedures preferred

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree preferred

Anticipated Hiring Range

Anticipated salary range: Up to $25.00 per hour, commensurate with education, experience, and internal equity.
