Job Description

Requirements:

  • Provide support in a multi-division environment.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve desktop and printer problems as required.
  • Install/Upgrade desktop hardware and software for the PC and printer environment.
  • Install/Upgrade desktop operating systems, drivers, memory, hard drives and other peripherals, as required.
  • Evaluate new hardware and software configurations.
  • Evaluate and document hardware and software configuration procedures.
  • Create automated software distribution packages.
  • Adequately and concisely communicate activities and issues to management on a timely basis.
  • Adequately and concisely communicate with customers (users) in both oral and written form.
  • Complete all tasks assigned in a timely manner and within established guidelines and constraints. Demonstrate "team dynamics" in interactions with all coworkers.

Additional Job Details

Qualifications:

Education: Requires minimum of a High School diploma and must be enrolled in advanced Information Technology degree program.

Experience: One to three years of PC experience required. General knowledge of MS Office, computer hardware, Windows operating system, and desktop support concepts.

Skills: Requires a high level of technical knowledge and PC support. Requires excellent interpersonal and communications skills including the ability to address problems using a team approach, the flexibility to work well with coworkers in a variety of situations, and the ability to communicate issues and concerns to management in a timely manner.

Hours: Requires the ability to work 30-40 hours a week summer through fall semester, with the potential to extend.

Physical Demands:

This position is labor intensive. They will be required to lift computers and auxiliary equipment up to a maximum of 50 lbs. Crawling, kneeling, bending, and lifting are physical requirements of this position.
