Hallmark's Consumer Experience (CX) Marketing Technology & Operations Team runs point on direct marketing campaign operations and is also responsible for planning and oversight of the technology roadmap for systems used across Hallmark's Consumer Experience ecosystem - spanning Marketing, Creative, Data Insights & Analytics and Consumer Care functions.


WHAT YOUR ROLE ENTAILS AND HOW YOU'LL CONTRIBUTE

The Email Marketing Manager will manage and lead a team of email template builders who will collaborate closely with marketing, design, creative, product and technical teams to ensure Hallmark's emails are optimized, personalized, and aligned with business objectives. You should have advanced proficiency in email marketing tools with a solid understanding of marketing technology industry best practices. In this role you will oversee workflow processes and tasks in support of day-to-day direct marketing campaign operations. You'll have tactical responsibilities for various marketing projects and will maintain working relationships across internal and external support organizations. This position will report to the Director of CX Marketing Technology & Operations.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

The following is required to be considered for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4 years' professional experience
  • At least 7 years of experience in similar position with experience in key functional areas
  • Experience leading and managing a team

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Your resume application will stand out if you have:

  • Proficiency with HTML/CSS for responsive-designed emails and experience in email coding best practices / optimization across multiple email clients
  • High business and marketing acumen to exploit best marketing practices, yielding results
  • Proven experience in paid subscription marketing, with a track record of driving membership growth and retention
  • Experience coding, developing, and setting up complex email campaigns with dynamic content and enhanced features within platforms such as Sailthru, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Movable Ink, or other comparable email/SMS deployment platforms
  • Experience building & using an Email Design System leveraging component-based design principles
  • Experience working with CRM targeting tools and / or CDP platforms
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Ability to problem-solve/troubleshoot operational or business issues
  • Ability to professionally interact with all levels of an organization
  • Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills

  • This position is hybrid, working onsite headquarters in Kansas City, MO once a week and as needed for events and meetings.
