  • Bachelor's degree and one (1) year legal support experience; or Associate degree (A.S., A.A.) or two-year technical certificate. Three (3) years legal support experience.

Work Hours
Normally scheduled Monday through Friday; however, may be required to work other shifts to include evenings and/or weekends. Schedule subject to change based upon department needs.
Compensation The annual salary is $50,684 to $53,725. A competitive benefit package is included. Special Instructions to Applicants

Class Summary
Incumbents draft, review, and revise contracts, leases, bid requests, and other legal documents and correspondence; act as a liaison to administrators, employees, departments, outside parties, attorneys, insurance companies regarding contracts, litigation and claims; provide contract record-keeping, files, indexes, contract processing administrative tasks; produce reports; conduct legal research; and coordinates special projects as needed.

Typical Essential Duties
  • Drafts, reviews, edits, processes, and revises contracts, leases, bid requests, and other legal documents and correspondence; verifies that information is accurate;
  • Conducts legal research when necessary; and ensures compliance with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
  • Serves as a liaison to administrators, employees, departments, outside parties, attorneys, and insurance companies regarding contracts, litigation, and claims.
  • Performs administrative duties to include, processing, maintaining, tracking, and/or updating contract forms, files, indexes, reports, and other documentation and correspondence; procuring, customizing, and managing databases to record and retrieve information; sending out email notifications; and providing administrative support to facilitate special project operations.
Knowledge
  • Knowledge of standard office practices, procedures, equipment, and techniques;
