Job Description
Position Title: Accountant
Salary: Based on Experience
An Accountant job in Milwaukee, WI is available through Accelerate Professional Talent Solutions. This role requires candidates to have 5+ years of general accounting experience including accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. This position will maintain the general ledger accounts, perform month end close, conduct bank reconciliations, and ensure GAAP policies are followed. This position will analyze GL accounts, create journal entries, and maintain accounting records. The position has the ability to work remotely two days a week after six months of initial training.
Accountant Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts.
- Perform month-end close duties.
- Conduct bank reconciliations.
- Ensure GAAP policies are followed.
- Create financial reports.
- Write journal entries and maintain accounting records.
- Serve as a back-up for AP, AR and payroll duties as needed.
Accountant Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
- 5+ years of general accounting experience including experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ERP software.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and accuracy skills.
