Position Overview:

As we continue to expand our services, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to join our team as the Vice President of Google Platforms. The VP of Google Platforms at our digital marketing agency plays a pivotal role in driving the success of our client campaigns by leveraging the power of Google Marketing Platform tools and resources. This leadership position is responsible for overseeing the development and execution of strategic initiatives related to GMP, including training team members, onboarding clients, supporting the sales process, and building credibility with Google. Additionally, the VP will cultivate and maintain strategic partnerships with Google and other technology providers to stay ahead of industry trends and access specialized resources. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in digital marketing, a deep understanding of Google Platforms, strong leadership skills, and a proven track record of driving results for clients.

Key Responsibilities:

    Agency GMP Capability Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for team members on Google Marketing Platform (GMP) tools and best practices. Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively utilize GMP for client campaigns.
  • Client Onboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new clients, working closely with account management and client services teams to understand client objectives, establish key performance indicators (KPIs), and develop tailored strategies leveraging Google Platforms to meet client goals.
  • Sales Support: Collaborate with the sales team to support business development efforts by providing subject matter expertise on Google Platforms during client pitches and presentations. Assist in the creation of proposals, strategies, and solutions that align with client needs and objectives.
  • Client Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding Google Platform-related inquiries, ensuring prompt and effective communication to address client concerns and provide strategic guidance. Maintain strong client relationships through regular check-ins, performance reviews, and proactive recommendations for optimization.
  • Partnership Relationship Management: Cultivate and nurture strategic partnerships with Google and other relevant technology partners to stay abreast of platform updates, beta features, and industry trends. Collaborate with partner representatives to explore co-marketing opportunities, joint initiatives, and access specialized training resources for the agency team.
  • Thought Leadership: Establish and maintain credibility within the industry by staying informed about the latest advancements in Google Platforms, participating in industry events, and representing the agency as a thought leader in digital marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in digital marketing, with a focus on utilizing Google Platforms including GMP, Google Analytics, Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, and Data Studio. Previous experience in a leadership or managerial role is required.
  • Expertise in Google Platforms: In-depth knowledge and proficiency in leveraging Google Platforms to drive measurable results for clients across various industries. Experience working with SA360, Floodlights, Campaign Manager, and DV360 as well as GA360. Experience with advanced features and functionalities of GMP is highly desirable.
  • Strategic Thinker: Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to translate client objectives into actionable strategies using GMP. Proven track record of developing and executing successful digital marketing campaigns.
  • Effective Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner. Demonstrated experience in client-facing roles and presenting to diverse audiences.
  • Team Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities with a track record of effectively managing and developing teams. Ability to inspire and motivate team members to achieve their full potential while fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of digital marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. Active participation in industry forums, conferences, and communities is a plus.

Position Summary

The Sr Director Strategic Planning is management lead of a strategic planning group. Responsible for delivering planning support to the agency client team including competitive insights, syndicated/research data analysis, and custom client research, to drive creative strategy development and agency shopper communications. Responsible for partnership between IN client service and creative and the assigned clients functioning as the 'voice of the shopper'.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management of a team of planners each assigned to categories/channel expertise on a given client(s) ensuring client needs in preparing presentations that contain data and analyses for both internal (client service, field and creative teams) and external (client) use are met.
  • A member of internal Client specific senior management team (assigned to a unique client), positioned as the senior planner on assigned client with specific responsibility of client development in the areas of research, insight, and strategy development.
  • Lead and author presentations, independently as well in mentorship that clearly "connects the dots" of research, data and information, yielding actionable conclusions that result in strategically sound marketing solutions/programs. Provide new business support.
  • Strategic lead on a given piece of business interfacing with clients and client marketing research groups at the management level to promote and build deeper client partnerships in order to advance IN's connectivity across client departments.
  • Ongoing process improvements to best manage strategic planning, insight, and data requests from clients.

Minimum Qualifications

Education Level: (Required) Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

Field of Study/Area of Experience: Business, Marketing, Communications, other related experience

  • 12+ years of experience in brand marketing, promotion agency, shopper marketing, or promotional/shopper marketing research
  • Experience using persuasive consulting style to sell-in methods and rationale for strategic plans
  • Experience and proven skill in writing and delivering presentations

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • IRI, Nielsen, and other syndicated research data gathering and analysis experience; usage only.
  • Excellent written communication and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to make oral presentations
  • Ability to visualize and plan objectives and goals strategically
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook, and web-browsers
  • Proficient in the use of Market Research, Nielsen/IRI, Simmons, Mintel

Incumbent must be able to perform the essential functions of the job. Work is performed primarily in an office environment.
