Job Description
Position Title: Production Associate
Wage: $16-$16.55/hour
Shift: Various
Hours: A 6am-6pm Monday-Thursday, B 5:30pm-5:30am Tuesday-Friday, C 6am-6pm Friday/Saturday 6am Sunday-Monday 5:30pm, 1st 6am-6pm Monday-Thursday, 2nd 5:30pm-5:30am Tuesday-Friday, 3rd 6am-6pm Friday/Saturday 6am Sunday/Monday 5:30pm
Are you interested in getting into the automotive manufacturing industry but do not have much previous warehouse experience? QPS can help. We have a wonderful union company we have partnered with in North Kansas City and they are looking for hardworking and dedicated individuals that are able to work 12-hour shifts and looking to grow within their roles in the company. Please contact QPS ASAP to get started.
Production Associate Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Follow instruction sheet to properly assemble upfits into vehicles
- Identify and correct defects in product or workmanship
- Use hand tools to assemble and attach pieces
- Observe machine operation to detect work piece defects or machine malfunction
- Ensure implementation of quality and safety procedures
- Work with other associates to set up machine, and stack, mark, pack, and transport finished parts
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area
Production Associate Requirements:
- Experience in automotive or electrical assembly a plus
- Regularly lift up to 35lbs
- Stand for entire shift
- Reach and grab with hands and arms
- Stoop, bend, and kneel as needed
- Ability to read a tape measure to an 16th of an inch
- Ability to read and understand work instructions and bar graphs
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good eye and hand coordination
