POSITION: Teacher I- Full Time
DEPARTMENT: Education (Ozanam)
Salary: $38,000 - 70,000 $(Annually)
(Starting salary depends on education and experience)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop Individual Education Plans (IEP's) that meet state requirements
• Provide individualized direct instruction
• Work with therapy staff to meet both academic and affective goals
• Maintain a trauma-informed classroom environment conducive to learning
• Collect systematic student progress data
• Participate in IEP meetings as requested
• Adhere to the core values and mission of Cornerstones of Care
• Participate in on-going staff development activities

QUALIFICATIONS: This position requires:

• Education Level: Bachelor's Degree
• Certification Required: Be eligible for or hold Missouri certification in teaching field
• Experience: 1-3 years of experience preferred
• EP development and implementation
• Student data collection and interpretation
• Individualization of instruction for students with special needs
• Behavior management
• Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and be insurable of agency carrier.
• Ability to work cooperatively with therapy staff
• Ability to deescalate student maladaptive behavior
• Ability to work creatively as part of a school team
• Must be at least 21 years of age and pass background check, physical and drug screening. This position also requires a valid driver's license and proof of current vehicle insurance.
