Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide delivery of evidence-based prevention curriculum in multiple school districts in Northeast Missouri.
  • Ensure curriculum is delivered consistent with fidelity of the program. Complete MIMH Fidelity Forms and submit to Project Coordinator by the 5th of the following month.
  • Lesson planning and preparation, including gathering necessary teaching tools to enhance the delivery of curriculum.
  • Document all the services provided in accordance with the contract and submit monthly reports to the Project Coordinator by the 5th of the following month.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to administrators, educators, other faculty, students, family members, and community members.
  • Consult with educators and counselors on curriculum implementation, problem behaviors, identification and selection of treatment providers, as needed.
  • Participate in meetings designated in the Work Plan and provide necessary feedback on all pertinent matters.
  • Attend all trainings required by the System, funders, evaluators and the Missouri Credentialing Board.
  • Assist with collection of data and maintenance of records.
  • Conduct on-site assessments and make referrals as appropriate. Collaborate with administrators, educators, counselors, and other personnel to ensure supportive environment for all students receiving treatment.
  • Collaborate with Resource Center to provide additional prevention resources that will enhance curriculum and/or activities outlined in the Work Plan.
  • Maintain positive, professional relationships with administrators, educators, other faculty, students, families and other community members.
  • Demonstrate interest in long term and short-term goals and objectives of the System.
  • Other duties as assigned by Leadership.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the policies, procedures, and regulations of the program to which the
  • associate is assigned.
  • Aptitudes to develop, coordinate, and evaluate services within assigned program
  • responsibilities.
  • Capability to communicate ideas clearly and effectively to produce clear and concise reports.

Experience and Education Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Master's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration or a closely related field;
  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's Degree in social work, counseling, public health, education, psychology, community development, public administration or a closely related field, who has at least one (1) year professional experience in a social service agency;
  • At least two (2) years experience providing alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs prevention programming for youth.
  • At least one (1) year experience, which may be included in the above two (2) years, experience as a site coordinator or other position with primary responsibility for day-to-day prevention program implementation.

  • None

Employment Requirements:

  • Must provide evidence that incumbent is free of infectious and contagious disease, such as TB, prior to beginning employment and annually thereafter - expected for all direct car staff, but mandatory for RCF staff.
  • Successful completion of background check including criminal record, driving record and abuse/neglect.
  • Completion of New Hire Orientation at the beginning of employment. All training requirements including Relias at the beginning of employment and annually thereafter.
  • Current driver's license, acceptable driving record and current auto insurance.
  • Must obtain Missouri Prevention Specialist Certification through the Missouri Credentialing Board within the first year of employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally (exists up the 1/3 of the time) and/or a negligible amount of force frequently (exists 1/3 to 2/3 of the time) to lift, carry, push, or pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
  • Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.
