This opportunity is in the Account Services Department.

Responsible for seeing policies through to the finish line, our Account Services department facilitates the processes between Claims, Underwriting, and our brokers. Ranging from rating services to audits to operational guidance, the available career opportunities are abundant with varying levels of specialty. Role Description:

In the role of Insurance Operations Manager (internally known as "Manager, Insurance Operations"), you will be responsible for the oversight of business processes and personnel in the Large Casualty Insurance Operations unit. This role leads applicable personnel in best practices for client / customer support, data integrity, accuracy and efficiency of related processes and works in collaboration other leaders within the department and company to help direct operational initiatives.

Your day-to-day responsibilities as Insurance Operations Manager will include:

  • Providing oversight, and assistance where necessary, of operational functions supporting rating, transactional issuance, and servicing of our insurance policies.
  • Developing, proposing, implementing, and monitoring new operating processes and procedures as related to ongoing operations as well as any pending initiatives.
  • Participating in and leading the development and implementation of new systems and enhancements to systems and applications to ensure that operational needs are identified and included in requirements.
  • Developing and reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to present operational metrics as well as gauge milestones, progress, and trends for the unit.

You will also be involved with:

  • Overseeing, coaching, mentoring, engaging, and training direct reports and other team members to enable them to perform their duties.
  • Coaching team members and providing ongoing assessment of staff responsibilities, instituting changes in duties as deemed applicable.
  • Assuming leadership in designated projects, tactical initiatives and committees as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • College degree preferred but not required

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of insurance industry experience, with specific focus in workers' compensation and/or other property / casualty commercial lines insurance experience required.
  • Ability to cultivate a team environment by leading and motivating staff, helping to develop their skill set and enable greater efficiencies within the applicable unit and department as a whole.
  • Highly self-motivated with ability to organize, prioritize, and produce multiple deliverables concurrently under time constraints, and thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional insurance designation similar to ARM, PMP, or AIM preferred.

Compensation for the successful candidate will consider the candidate's particular combination of knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, and geographic location.
