We are adding a full-time Screw Machine Operator to the team!

This position significantly contributes to our manufacturing of high quality waterproof wire connectors. This position is primarily responsible for the setup, operation, and product inspection on our spring coiling equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

* Utilize Screw Machine Operator skill set to learn operation of spring coiling equipment

* Setup and operation of mechanical spring coiling equipment

* Inspection of springs using tools such as optical comparator, calipers, and pin gauges

* Follow visual KanBans to maintain wire inventory and determine production priorities

* Use of various hand tools and machine tools

* Identify and assist in continuous improvement opportunities related to machine setup

* Performs preventative maintenance as assigned by Manufacturing Engineer

* Identify component deficiencies and improvements

* Maintain a clean work area including 5S standards

* Follow safe work practices including PPE requirements

Required Skills:

* Strong mechanical aptitude

* Proven ability to setup and troubleshoot cam operated equipment

* Motivated and the ability to work with minimal supervision

* Willing to work overtime when required

* Ability to bend, lift up to 75lbs and stand during assembly process

* Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally

Required Experience:

* Experience operating and setting up screw machines

* Must be able to read and understand engineering drawings

* Must be able to use material handling equipment including forklifts
