Summary:

The purpose of this position is to support the Kirksville, MO mligiblenufacturing facility in assuring quality products by performing process capability studies, determining process improvements, instituting corrective action for process & Quality System deficiencies, and partnering with Kirksville operations in achieving plant objectives.

This is a hybrid role based in our Kirksville, Missouri manufacturing plant. Qualified candidates who live more than 50 miles from the Kirksville plant are eligible for a lump sum relo to relocate to the Kirksville, MO area.

Responsibilities:

Plan, coordinate, execute, and document process capability studies

*Plan, coordinate, execute, and document process improvement studies

*Perform and document investigations, including root cause analysis for customer complaints, scrap, rejects, etc.

*Support Operations & GQM strategic plans in leading or supporting projects

*Plan, coordinate, and document Quality Plans

*Plan, coordinate, and document work instructions

*Plan, coordinate, test/inspection methods including the purchase of equipment

*Conduct training on defect awareness, statistical techniques, and good manufacturing practices

*Plan, conduct, and document Internal Audits

Essential Functions of the Role:

  • Time spent using PC or keyboard
  • Walking large plant floor area.
  • Considerable verbal interface/communication

Work Experience Requirements:

  • Number of Overall Years Necessary: 2-5
  • Experience in plastic injection molding. 3years experience desired
  • Quality engineering experience preferred
  • Technical knowledge in systematic injection molding techniques preferred

Education Requirements:

  • B.S. or B.A. in Plastics, Engineering, Math, Natural Sciences, Computer Science or related study

Specialized Skills/Special Knowledge:

  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer preferred
  • Experience in medical device manufacturing desired
  • Medical Device regulatory knowledge (preferred)

Location Specifications:

  • Proficiency in reading, writing and speaking English
