Description

Your Role: Responsible for maintenance of scales for all random and fixed weight items. Reduce waste through identification of items within the store that could sell quickly and profitably by repackaging.

  • Ensures proper rotation of all products to maximize freshness and to reduce waste
  • Manage displays of fresh and frozen protein items in display cases
  • Provides quality customer service to both internal and external customers
  • Maintains cleanliness and sanitary conditions of workstations and the clean room
  • Assists in loading/unloading of daily Dorothy's Market trucks
  • Works independently 90% of the time
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Role Specifics:

  • Schedule: Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Hours: 8:00am - 4:00pm
  • Job Demands: Extensive standing/walking on concrete

We Need You To Have:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Ability to repetitively lift weights up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to deal with pressure and work with all customers in a professional and courteous manner
  • Effective math skills
  • Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely

We'd Like You To Have:

  • Previous grocery or retail experience
  • Previous computer experience
  • Previous experience in Microsoft Excel
