Electronic Technicians start at $30.88/hour

Essential Functions*:

• Troubleshoot, analyze, and correct various operational equipment including PLCs and motor drives with the assistance of laptops, engineering and wiring diagrams.
• Perform routine, emergency, and preventative mechanical maintenance repair on automated high speed ammunition manufacturing equipment.
• Perform preventative and emergency electrical repairs on various equipment and lighting systems.
• Comply with all applicable standards, policies, or procedures, such as safety rules and regulation while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
• Assist with implementation of new design changes on automated equipment.
• Understand and interprets complex drawings, schematics, and operational manuals.Making basic red line changes to existing engineer drawings.

Position Requirements*:

• Minimum of 2 years recent and relevant electronic experience. PLC and motor drive experience preferred.
• Certificate or diploma from an accredited trade school, vocational school, or military equivalent; Certifications specific to PLC training preferred.
• Must have basic knowledge of motors and motor controls.
• Working knowledge of precision measurement and diagnostic tools. Mechanical skills and abilities. Experience in operation of basic shop equipment including handheld power tools; electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatically driven.
• Must possess a valid state driver's license and be able to obtain a Government driver's license.
• Ability to read and interpret detailed prints, sketches, layouts and specifications.
• Specific environmental training may be required for incumbents.
• Ability and willingness to work Weekends, including overtime.
• This position requires access to ITAR controlled technical data, and as such, employment will be contingent upon the candidate's ability to access ITAR controlled technical data pursuant to an export license approved by the Directorate of Defense Trade Controls.
• This position requires successful vetting as an Employee Possessor in accordance with U.S. Department of Justice and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
• This position requires successful vetting for unescorted accessin accordance with U.S. Army andDepartment of Defense access policies.
