Join our winning team as an Indirect Tax Manager in Clayton, MO. In your role, you will handle sophisticated multi-state and multi-national tax issues, focusing on indirect tax matters.

Indirect Tax Manager Essential Job Functions:
  • Manage all phases of the indirect tax function, including compliance, controversy, and planning; Oversee the preparation of tax filings with our outside tax provider, with a focus on minimizing the company's overall tax liability.
  • Address proposed law changes with business operations; Includes travel to business sites for implementation and maintenance of process and procedural changes.
  • Develop and enhance procedures and documentation requirements while driving improvement opportunities throughout the organization.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with a variety of departments/stakeholders; accounting issues related to indirect tax, analytical support for capital projects and procurement activities, divisional and company-wide projects to develop consistent engagement across the organization.
  • Management and resolution of audit issues through the analysis and review of information requests.
  • Manage and monitor current tax determination system while addressing technical issues and recommended solutions.
Indirect Tax Manager Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree* in Finance, Accounting, or related field; Advanced Degree* preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years' experience in the field of Tax, Accounting, or Finance, with at least 2 years focused on US sales/use tax.
  • Prior experience working in public accounting and/or with large, multi-state organization.
  • CPA, JD and/or CMI certifications preferred.
  • SAP, Onesource Indirect Tax (Sabrix), Taxware, or Vertex systems experience preferred.
  • Experience determining taxability within the manufacturing industry preferred.
