Assists the Director of Facilities/Security with the day-to-day operations of the Building Operations department. Performs minor carpentry and maintenance projects. Performs daily inspections of the interior and exterior of the facility and reports problems and/or safety hazards to the Director. Assists with snow removal from walkways and parking lots around the facility.

Responsibilities

Essential Functions:

    Day-to-day management of infection waste to include: collecting all infectious waste and distributing clean bins to departments.
  • Performs daily inspections of the interior and exterior of the facility and reports problems and/or safety hazards to the Director.
  • Assists with remodeling and/or maintenance projects as requested.

General Duties

  • Assist s with snow removal from all walkways and parking lots.
  • Operates CBC vehicles.
  • Assists with special projects as directed by the Director of Facilities and procurement.
  • Organizes stock rooms and shop.
  • Other duties as assigned relevant to this position.
Qualifications

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent - Must provide a copy of the transcript.
  • Must have and maintain a valid MO Class E Driver's License or KS Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record.
  • Prefer an individual with experience in basic maintenance and repair work.
  • HVAC experience strongly preferred.
  • Electrical and plumbing experience is a plus.

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to read, understand and follow written instructions as well as verbal instructions.
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to interact with wide variety of individuals.
  • Must have excellent organization skill and the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of organization
  • Ability to perform basic carpentry and facility maintenance. (Must be highly proficient in at least one trade with ability to learn additional trades.)
  • Knowledge of applicable OSHA regulations.
