Summary
Do you have excellent interpersonal/human relations skills? Are you a strategic and tactical thinker? Do you consider yourself to be a data-driven decision maker? The Office of the Registrar at University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis is currently looking for a part-time coordinator to manage transfer evaluations and credit entry. In addition, this person will audit degree completions and help maintain student records. This is a part-time position, working 28 hours per week. Some duties and responsibilitiescan be completedremotely.

You will get to:
  • Provide support for the Office of the Registrar
  • Manage and award transfer credit for all students
  • Work closely with the associate registrar, admissions representatives, and academic success coaches to help create incoming students' schedules
  • Help the Registrar's Office audit degree completion
  • Coordinate effectively with academic and administrative units across campus to achieve curriculum goals
  • Collaborate with administrators, deans, faculty, IT, advisors, and counselors to facilitate and improve services to students
  • Assist the Registrar and Associate Registrar with student communication flow including emails and phone calls
  • Help manage physical and online filing system
  • Collaborate to develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology applications in support of enhanced services offered through the Office of the Registrar and Enrollment Services
  • Provide support for records and registration services, including registering students, issuing transcripts, answering phones, scanning, reporting grades and working special events as needed
  • Facilitate a work environment that encourages knowledge of, respect for, and development of skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree and prior experience in the Registrar's Office preferred.
  • The ability to understand complex student information systems and to use those systems effectively in a management and strategic capacity are required. Experience with Jenzabar or comparable program is preferred, but not required.
  • The ability to perform work with various computer applications is required.
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, data-driven decision making, and short and long-term planning skills are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to work under deadline pressure but maintain attention to detail.
  • Excellent customer service skills, collegiality, and the ability to interact effectively with a wide variety of people on a variety of channels, and to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be articulate, have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills, and able to explain abstract concepts effectively.
  • Evidence of the ability to work successfully with college and university administrators and high school personnel is required.
  • A positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to change.
  • Ability to develop knowledge of, respect for, and skills to engage with those of other cultures or backgrounds is required.
  • Sensitivity to issues related to recruitment and retention of a diverse student body are required.
