Job Description

The University of Missouri School of Music seeks an Assistant Professor of Voice to begin in August 2024. This is a full-time, tenure track position and will include creative activity, teaching, and service roles. Duties include teaching applied voice lessons, and potentially teaching vocal pedagogy, lyric diction, and/or literature classes at the undergraduate and graduate level. The successful candidate will participate in voice area activities and provide service to the School and the University, in keeping with expectations for assistant professors.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: A DMA or Evidence of 10 years of professional experience that includes national and/or international operatic or concert performance.

Candidates will be evaluated on:

Professional experience and accomplishment as a vocal performer.

Education and/or equivalent professional experience.

Evidence of successful teaching at the university level.

Experience teaching and advising graduate voice students.
