Develop and communicate material forecasts for key suppliers and generate constrained material plan for input into S&OP Process, in order to improve service levels, supplier integration and optimize working capital.
Your Responsibilities:
Operations planning:Assembles and analyses all data pertinent to creating a constrained engineering (for Engineered-To-Order businesses) and Supplier plan, uses rough-cut and detail capacity planning and links it to the production plan. Consolidates and communicates factory demand forecasts to suppliers. Determine Supplier capacity as input back into the Sales & Operations Planning process.
Collaboration: Works with product management to influence design decisions, Commodity Managers to better align supply and sourcing strategies, Supplier Quality Managers to understand suppliers' quality limitations, and demand planners to influence demand shaping activities which help improve profit, customer service or reduce inventory
Long-term capacity planning: Prepares Rough-cut capacity planning (RCCP), identifies capacity as well as supplier raw material constraints, and recommends both short- and long-term solutions and mitigation plan to remove supplier bottlenecks.
Sales / Operations Execution (S&OE): Contributes actively to the planning process. Connects the operations plan with the supplier capacities and capabilities, and continually update the supplier forecast model.
Inventory: Determines impact of plan on expected inventory levels. Collaborates with Factories, Supply chain, and Suppliers to keep inventories to the target levels.
Gap analysis/improvement: Identifies key root causes for deviation from the supply plan and implements initiatives to improve adherence to plans for the future. Is accountable for supply plan attainment.
Material plan: Provides feedback on the accuracy of the planning bill of material to ensure it generates material plan based on constrained supply plan.
Supports E&O projects with key suppliers to reduce excess and obsolete inventories at factories.
Supports phase in/phase out of new products with key suppliers as it relates to S&OP production volumes and mix.
Requirements:
Purchasing experience required
Preferred planning experience
Preferred SAP or similar ERP experience in MM and PP module
Ability to work cross-functionally within a global value chain
Independent analysis/decision-making capabilities
Excellent Microsoft excel skills
Strong communicator and teamwork oriented
Organized and exhibits a sense of urgency when necessary
Takes initiative to drive projects and lead others
Employs root cause analysis approach
Strong sense of customer focus and quality
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in business or Engineering preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Supply Chain or Planning role, or alternatively, a special combination of education and experience and/or demonstrated accomplishments.
