Job Description

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the UMKC School of Medicine seeks a Research Assistant with excellent cell/molecular biology, histology/immunohistochemistry/ in situ hybridization, and animal experiment skills to participate in research projects related to placental diseases and pregnancy complications.

The duties will include but are not limited to: performing molecular, cell biology, histology, and animal experiments; assisting the PI and other researchers in different research projects in the lab; coordinating with clinical research teams; analyzing and interpreting research results; and participating in the preparation of manuscripts; developing and participating in scientific research projects as needed, and performing other duties as assigned.

Research experience in the field of reproductive biology and advanced molecular biology techniques is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

Applicants must have a Bachelor's or equivalent degree.
