Job Description
  • Work with staff, faculty, and students to manufacture custom parts.
  • Operate machine tools including surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses, band saws, welders, CNC machinery and other equipment
  • Setup machine tools, fabricate parts, assemble components and sub-assemblies, and check operation of the completed parts.
  • Provide instruction regarding machining operations in the student laboratory, as part of the required basic machining course.
  • Ensure adherence to shop safety protocols
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience operating manual machines, programming and operating CNC machines

Anticipated Hiring Range

The anticipated hiring range for this position has been established as $21.42-$28.55 hourly.


Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the individual's particular combination of education, skills, and experience, as well as organizational requirements.
